Angie has worked as a counselor since 1996. She is passionate about facilitating emotional, relational, and spiritual growth.
Hi, I am Angie. As a passionate advocate for emotional, spiritual,
and relational healing, I’ve spent 28 years walking alongside
brave individuals seeking personal growth. Inspired by Brené
Brown’s wisdom, “When we deny the story, it defines us; when
we own the story, we can write a brave new ending.” I desire to
create a culture of connection where everyone is seen, heard,
and understood.
My credentials are:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC)
• Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor (ALPS) in West Virginia
• Certified Sexual Addictions Counselor
• ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor
• Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)
• Master Trained Accelerated Resolution Therapist
• Internal Family Systems Level 1 Trained
I refer to the counseling field as the “Art of Joining.” This sacred work allows me to join others in their successes and in their suffering. Once invited into the stories of others, I hope to foster an environment of curiosity, growth, and empathy. My mission is soulcare; to master the art of connection and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for those navigating the human experiences between joy and sorrow. Practicing through an attachment theory lens, I am grounded in the fundamental truth expressed by Sue Johnson, a beloved therapist, teacher, mentor and innovator of Emotionally Focused Therapy who stated, “belonging is becoming
and becoming is belonging.” I live in Huntington, West Virginia with my family. Over the years, I have learned profound lessons of unconditional love from my husband of 29 years, trust and faith
through my daughter’s battle with Williams syndrome, the importance of hard work and determination from my baseball-loving son, Evan, and the value of comfort gained from the cuddles and profound loyalty from my late dachshund, Sammi.
