She refers to the counseling field as the “Art of Joining.” This sacred work allows her to join others in their successes and in their suffering. Once invited into the stories of others, she hopes to foster an environment of curiosity, growth, and empathy. Angie's mission is soulcare; to master the art of connection and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for those navigating the human experiences between joy and sorrow. Practicing through an attachment theory lens, she is grounded in the fundamental truth expressed by Sue Johnson, a beloved therapist, teacher, mentor and innovator of Emotionally Focused Therapy who stated, “belonging is becoming
and becoming is belonging.”
Angie loves to not only join her clients, but also those who are developing their counseling skill or walking the path towards EFT certification. She has had the privilege of participating in and organizing various training opportunities here is Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. She is passionate about "getting" EFT into the hands of those serving the people of our great state and making a difference in the lives of individuals, couples and families. She lives in Huntington, West Virginia with her family. Over the years, she have learned profound lessons of unconditional love from my husband of 29 years, trust and faith through her daughter’s battle with Williams syndrome, the importance of hard work and determination from her baseball-loving son, Evan, and the value of comfort gained from the cuddles and profound loyalty from her late dachshund, Sammi.
